FAC51 The Haçienda
The Haçienda, opened in 1982 by Factory Records and New Order, became the birthplace of Acid House and a cornerstone of UK club culture. With cutting-edge design and iconic nights like Nude and Freak, it turned clubbing into a cultural movement. Though it closed in 1997, its legacy lives on through global events and the Haçienda Classical project, which reimagines classic dance anthems. The club’s impact on music and youth culture is immortalized in films like 24 Hour Party People, influencing generations of DJs and artists worldwide.
