Ash Lauryn is a DJ, writer, and radio host known for championing Black dance music. Originally from Detroit and now based in Atlanta, she launched Underground and Black to address the lack of representation for Black millennials in electronic music. Her platform includes an annual Movement Festival party and a monthly NTS Radio show. Ash has toured globally, playing at venues like Panorama Bar Berlin, Printworks London, and festivals such as Movement Detroit and Montreux Jazz Festival. She’s written for The Face, Mixmag, and Resident Advisor and served as a guest editor for Beatport’s Beatportal. In 2021, she released her debut EP Truth, co-produced with Stefan Ringer, and has since released remixes on labels like Heist and Defected. Active on the international tour circuit, Ash continues to make waves in the global dance scene.
