Ted Jasper, aka berlioz, began his music career in 2016 with demos and remixes on Soundcloud. He gained early attention with his track “Love Got Me,” which was supported by BBC Radio 1 Xtra and synced to a Missguided campaign. His first EP, Little Bit More, was released in 2017. After moving to London, he released two successful underground EPs in 2018 and shifted to a more vocal-driven style in 2019 with his ‘Back for More’ EP, which earned over 2 million Spotify streams. In 2022, Jasper launched berlioz, a jazz-house alias that quickly gained popularity. The ‘Jazz Is For Ordinary People’ EP went viral in 2023, driven by social media and TikTok. With a growing fanbase and hundreds of thousands of streams daily, his last release ‘open this wall’ further solidified berlioz’s place in both the jazz and electronic music scenes.
